How to Password Protect an Excel Sheet

Password protecting an Excel Spreadsheet can prevent unauthorized users from tampering with  your data. Keep in mind, that although using the password is one good step, it's not best to secure very sensitive information in an Excel Document.

To set a password: 

1. Click on the Review Tab
 

2.  Click on Protect Sheet


3. When a pop-up window appears, select your options and type in the desired password.

4. Click OK
