Phishing is the attempt to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money), often for malicious reasons, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication, usually an Email.
What to Look For:
- Urgent messages and threats of account closures
- Misspellings and bad grammar
- Deals that sound too good to be true
- Requests to donate to a charitable organization after a disaster that has been on the news
- Promises of money for little or no effort, just asking you to give account information

Remember, when in doubt you can always ask.
